Position Overview

AHOY seeks a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer with expertise in manual and automated testing. You will ensure the quality and performance of our software applications by designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test strategies. Collaborating closely with development and product teams, you will drive quality initiatives and improve testing processes.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications
  2. Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and establish quality standards
  3. Implement testing frameworks and tools to automate processes and improve efficiency
  4. Perform regression, performance, and load testing; analyze results to identify improvements
  5. Identify, document, and track defects throughout their lifecycle
  6. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on quality issues
  7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices
  8. Mentor and guide junior QA team members
  9. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in QA practices

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with both manual and automated testing
  • Proficiency in automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks
  • Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript
  • Knowledge of API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred
  • Certifications such as ISTQB are a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks
  • Experience with cloud testing environments (AWS, Azure)
