The Project Manager - Content Acquisition will be responsible for driving and managing the content acquisition process, working closely with internal and external teams, including content providers, legal, marketing, and product teams, to ensure that high-quality content is acquired and integrated into our social media platform in line with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Content Research:
    Conduct in-depth research on various topics to provide valuable insights for content creation.
    Collaborate with the senior team to define content acquisition strategies that align with business objectives (to avoid copyright issues).
    Stay up-to-date on market trends and competitor content.
  2. Project Planning and Management:
    Develop and manage content acquisition timelines, ensuring deadlines are met.
    Coordinate and oversee the content acquisition process, from initial negotiations to final delivery.
    Identify and resolve any issues that may arise during the content acquisition process.
  3. Stakeholder Management:
    Work with internal teams (product, legal, marketing, and finance) to ensure alignment on goals and expectations.
    Communicate project progress and status to key stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  4. Partner Relationships:
    Build and maintain relationships with content providers, licensors, and other external partners.
    Negotiate terms, agreements, and pricing with content partners, ensuring favorable deals for the company.
  5. Content Delivery and Integration:
    Ensure that acquired content is delivered on time.
    Work with technical teams to ensure the smooth upload and categorization of content.
  6. Budget Management:
    Monitor and manage budgets for content acquisition projects.
    Track costs and ensure projects remain within allocated budgets.
    Identify potential risks in the content acquisition process and proactively take steps to mitigate them.
    Ensure that content licensing and agreements comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of project management experience, preferably in content acquisition, media, entertainment, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of content licensing and negotiations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide insights related to content performance.
