IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

Be responsible for the O&M of Fiber network (Junction, Access, Corporate, Carrier and FTTH) in the Rawalpindi metropolitan area. The executive ensures the corrective maintenance including restoration of OFC cuts in the Rawalpindi area related to Junction, Access, Corporate, Carrier and FTTH Network. He also ensures issues related to feeder and distribution network and resolves low optical power issues at OLT, FDH and FAT level. He also ensures preventive maintenance of ODFs in Exchanges, FDHs and FAT/NAP and civil works for saving the OFCs.

OFC network is an integral part of PTCL revenues and brand equity, and the executives ensures smooth operations and customer satisfaction which leads to improved KPIs and MTTR.

HOW CAN YOU EXPRESS YOUR TALENT

  1. Corrective Maintenance including O&M of OFC network in Rawalpindi metropolitan area (Restoration of OFC cuts related to Junction, Access, Carrier, Feeder and Distribution level OFC up to FAT, Low Power issues at OLT, FDH and FAT level)
  2. Preventive Maintenance of FTTH Network
  3. Lead and manage fiber maintenance teams working continuously 24/7 to address FTTH network issues
  4. Ticket and SR (service Request) handling
  5. Handle OPEX and CAPEX requirements on the SAP. - Liaising with Govt Organizations and Local Societies for avoidance of OFC Cuts
  6. Coordination with Development team in Planning and design of FTTH Network and PAT Activities after deployment

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

Qualification:

  1. BS/BE in Electrical/Telecom Engineering
  2. At least 1-3 year of experience
  3. Strong operational insight, strategic thinking, cross functional collaboration, decision making.

Competencies:

  1. FTTH Planning & Design (Arc GIS, Google Earth, Auto CAD)
  2. Fiber Operations & Maintenance (Grip on network topologies & troubleshooting tools)
  3. People Driven Management
  4. Communication & Negotiation Skills
