In-country is a British education management company that was launched in 2016 and now has a team of more than fifty people across India, Pakistan, and the UK. We manage the South Asian student recruitment operations for multiple blue-chip international universities, as well as work on creative and exciting projects for a host of others.

Responsibilities:

In-Country Projects :

  • To act alongside the Project Manager In-country, responsible for the project as the point of contact for our client universities.
  • Deliver recruitment strategies for multiple clients concurrently, ensuring alignment with each client's goals and timelines.
  • Reach out to prospective students, agents, schools, and universities through various channels (phone, WhatsApp, email, and in person) to generate engagement and interest for our various client universities.
  • Attend events on behalf of clients, representing the client university's courses and other information to potential students in adherence to their brand guidelines.
  • Assist clients by chaperoning during visits to Pakistan by officials from client universities and facilitating meetings.
  • Manage and coordinate client itineraries, ensuring all travel, meetings, and event details are organized and communicated effectively.
  • Undertake client-specific ad hoc projects, ensuring flexibility and responsiveness to unique client needs.
  • Maintain meticulous records of outreach activities involving schools, universities, agents, and students, ensuring updates in company systems.
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting on activities per company turnaround times, supporting internal and client requirements.
  • Conduct credibility interviews for students on behalf of multiple client universities, adhering to each institution's guidelines.
  • Generate new sales leads by interacting with potential clients during events, building relationships, and fostering interest in partnership opportunities.
  • Report back to senior management on market trends and insights gathered during field-based activities, contributing to the strategic direction of In-Country's operations.
  • Travel for client universities to various cities in Pakistan, ensuring strict adherence to the company's travel and logistics (T&L) procedures and policies.

Internal Management Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the HR Manager and Senior Finance Manager based in India to roll out IC policies in our Pakistan office.
  • Ensure and oversee the Admin officer for compliance with travel, logistics, HR, and finance-related policies.
  • Ensure and oversee that operational systems are in place for the smooth functioning of the Pakistan office, coordinating closely with HR, Finance, and other relevant departments.
  • Act as the point of contact for staff regarding any questions or issues related to these policies with the India team.
  • Oversee the work of the Admin Officer to maintain the office and ensure it remains a welcoming and functional environment for all team members.
  • Oversee the coordination with external vendors or services for office maintenance, supplies, or improvements when necessary.
  • Address and resolve with the support of the Admin officer any day-to-day office-related issues, including maintenance, equipment, and administrative tasks.
  • Support travel arrangements and logistics for employees, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee the processing and reporting of finance-related expenses in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Conduct risk assessments for staff travelling domestically and internationally, identifying potential risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that travel-related policies and procedures are adhered to, and provide timely assistance in case of emergencies or unexpected situations.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • A graduate from a university in Pakistan or the UK, and/or, one year of experience working in an international student recruitment role.
  • Excellent communication skills with fluent use of English and Urdu in speaking and writing across diverse communication methods.
  • Ability to communicate confidently across varied audiences, from students to parents, over various media channels.
  • Highly personable.
  • Creative and innovative thinking with problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • IT literacy with the use of Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
