Responsibilities
  • Understands front-end and back-end technologies, including PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and Application Programming Interface (API).
  • Designs and develops responsive design websites using web standards and user experience measurements; constructs user interfaces for SFD websites and/or web applications.
  • Programs websites, mobile sites, intranets, email marketing and other digital projects based on customer requirements; builds and animates web banners using modern techniques; ensuring all assignments are error free; maintains existing websites built in HTML and WordPress.
  • Develops custom themes, child themes and related functionality for WordPress.
  • Participates actively in the WordPress community, and is a key stakeholder and visionary of future WordPress and content management.
  • Collaborates with internal clients to assess needs in development of themes, child themes, and related functionality.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial).
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Understanding and embracing of accessibility/WCAG 2.x standards.
  • Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like.
  • Understanding and comprehension of Custom Post Types and WordPress Taxonomy structures.
  • Integration of third-party APIs and technologies with WordPress.
  • Ability to create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods and techniques and equipment, including knowledge of graphic layout and photographic requirements and procedures; Ability to translate designs (PSD, AI, Sketch) into functional Web interfaces.
  • Intermediate use of computers and Microsoft Office Suite Applications such as Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Work independently and foster a cooperative spirit within a large and/or small team of diverse cultures, while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines and frequently changing priorities.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field, preferred;
  • three (3) to six (6) years' relevant experience in programming and modifying different marketing modalities; or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
