Our innovative and growing company is searching for experienced candidates for the position of web and API developer. Please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications. Responsibilities for API Developer
  1. Design, develop, test and implement APIs for use in software applications.
  2. Analyse, design, and coordinate the development of major components of the audience management system and downstream APIs including hands-on implementation, testing, review, build automation, and documentation.
  3. Develop new APIs for use by the marketing development team and gather requirements for future development.
  4. Provide inputs to the API design team for defining appropriate API Governance Standards, Policies, and Frameworks.
  5. Requirements, design and functional specifications, integrate with and contribute to assigned API.
  6. Design and create robust interfaces to integrate a variety of systems and technologies to solve business problems and create scalable solutions.
  7. Coordinate with backend services and drive end-to-end enterprise service integration.
  8. Responsible for mapping, designing specs for transformation between API Gateway and backend service.
  9. Develop Java libraries to simplify access and usage of APIs and maintain and enhance the Digital Exchange and integrations associated with it.
  10. Develop and architect systems that do one thing really well, with a focus on data consistency and reliability.
  11. Work with internal teams consuming the G API to ensure success of their integration and external partners consuming the G API to ensure the success of their integration, and their investment in G Technology.
  12. The Travel APIs Expert oversees the implementation and integration of APIs for our travel technology platform.
  13. Build a deep understanding of business requirements and best ways to build integrations/APIs.
  14. Design domain-centric APIs.
Job Specification

Qualifications for API Developer

  1. Extensive experience with Web Services, SOAP, JAX-WS, JAX-RS, REST, Web API, JPA.
  2. Experience with Java, JSP, XML, XSL, JavaScript, XPath, XSLT & XSD.
  3. Very strong skills in Java development.
  4. Strong knowledge about HTTP, REST and JSON are crucial.
  5. Experienced in developing REST APIs.
  6. Familiarity with iterative software development lifecycle and best practices.
  7. Experience in the travel technology area or a similar role; only apply if you have experience in the implementation and integration of travel APIs.
  8. Extensive expertise in the travel industry for a customer-facing role (value add if previously worked with travel technology companies).
  9. Broad knowledge and understanding of online reservation tools (Flights, Hotels, Holidays).
  10. Excellent communication skills with an advanced level of English (speaking & writing are a must).
  11. Strong understanding of the travel technology industry.
  12. Experience with Travel APIs (Flights, Hotels Bed Bank, Car, GDS, Flights & Hotels Aggregators).
  13. Problem-solving skills with integration design patterns.
  14. Passion for new and emerging technologies; ability to investigate these in depth.
