Key Scope:

  • Responsible for fixed asset accounting and reporting, which includes timely and accurate capitalisation of assets, review of capex incurrence and disposal of fixed assets.
  • Identify qualifying or non-qualifying assets for asset capitalisation and tax purposes so as to maximise capital allowances.
  • Responsible for month/year-end closing and reporting schedules such as capital expenditure (CAPEX) accruals and the reconciliation of sub-ledger to general ledger.
  • Assist in annual fixed asset sighting exercise
  • Review contracts for cost allocation for asset capitalisation relating to major development projects
  • Support managers in capex board budget review and multi-year depreciation projections.
  • Perform any ad hoc tasks as required.

The ideal candidate should be/have:

  • Diploma/Degree in Accountancy with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, resourceful and independent.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Familiarity with MS TEAMS, Sharepoint
  • Hands-on knowledge in SAP and low-code / business analytics tools (eg: RPA, Power Query, Power Pivot, and Power BI) would be a plus
