Job Title: Lead Auditor - Food

Location: Lahore

Role Statement
  • The primary role of a food safety auditor is to conduct food safety audits to ensure quality control across various food types.
  • The role operates in accordance with the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and Group policies.
Accountabilities
  • Prepare audit plans and coordinate with clients as per the shared agenda.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety standards, protocols, and codes of conduct.
  • Conduct audits using updated checklists, forms, and tools.
  • Maintain positive client relationships and address inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Submit accurate and complete audit reports within established timelines.
  • Address defects, concerns, and queries raised during reviews timely.
  • Develop and maintain competencies for conducting audits and assessing qualifications.
  • Stay updated on latest laws, regulations, and standards applicable to food safety.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Reduce time-barred cases.
  • Close non-conformance (NC) issues within timelines.
  • Submit reports within deadlines.
Technical Competencies

The following are required:

  • University degree in biological sciences, food science, nutrition, agriculture, engineering, chemistry, or related fields.
  • Additional certifications such as LA course on FSMS, HACCP, HALAL, FSSC, GG are advantageous.
  • 3-4 years' experience in food or agricultural industries, including quality assurance, food safety, auditing, or farm management.
  • Familiarity with third-party certification processes.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, databases).
  • Willingness to travel up to 75%, mostly overnight within Pakistan.
