About the role

Responsible for providing legal support to Careem's business units. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in law and a passion for helping businesses succeed.

What you'll do

  • Provide legal support to Careem's business units on a variety of issues, working closely with the rest of Careem's legal, procurement and compliance teams.
  • Draft and negotiate contracts, including purchase agreements, non-disclosure agreements, marketing agreements and service agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support the Careem's business decisions.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to the Careem legal team, including maintaining and organising contracts and tracking legal documents.
  • Research and prepare the necessary documentation for setting up new legal entities.
  • Provide ongoing support to legal entities, including preparation of the necessary documentation for statutory filings and license renewals.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in the law and their impact on Careem's business.

What you need

  • Minimum of a law degree from a reputable university
  • Fluent in English (both oral and written)
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable in working with shifting priorities, ambiguity and fast-paced environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
