You will provide expert advice on queries and requests for clarifications on legal issues received from management and departmental users. Your knowledge of applicable law, rules, and regulations will be essential in providing accurate and timely guidance.

Responsibilities
  • Review and Evaluate Legal Developments: Stay up-to-date with amendments to laws, rules, and regulations, and assess their impact on our operations.
  • Provide Expert Advice: Offer guidance on legal issues, considering applicable law, rules, and regulations.
  • Engage with Stakeholders: Meet with relevant departments and stakeholders to discuss matters with legal implications.
  • Develop Drafts and Briefs: Create draft briefs, replies, opinions, and working papers based on research and facts.
  • Evaluate Legislation: Study drafts of impending legislation, assess its impact on our operations, and advise management on possible steps to protect our interests.
  • Review and Enhance Documents: Review briefs, replies, and cases prepared by junior staff and external counsel, adding value to ensure our viewpoint is presented accurately and our interests are safeguarded.
  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and develop risk response strategies for risks under your management.
  • Monitor Risks: Keep track of risks and response strategies under your management.
  • Ensure Accuracy: Verify the accuracy and timeliness of information provided for risk reporting.
