The Role:

  • Due to recent expansion and an increase in tendering opportunities, we are currently seeking an experienced Estimator who will remotely work from Pakistan for our Company.
  • The successful applicant must be a team player, have effective organizational and communication skills, have the ability to meet deadlines, and possess good time management and prioritization skills, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • The role will report to the Estimating Manager from Pakistan. Our company desires to submit approximately 15 tenders in a month.

Key Duties:

  • Critically analyze bid documents, understand risks and opportunities, and articulate those to management.
  • Have a strong understanding of resource selection for distinct types of work, mainly commercial projects.
  • Gather and monitor actual costs vs. estimated costs, maintaining project cost history.
  • Manage risk and safe construction techniques when developing construction methodologies and programs with the construction team.
  • Manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing and negotiate subcontract terms and conditions.
  • Assist the construction teams to identify and prepare variations and EOTs in accordance with the head contract.
  • Read and interpret drawings, scopes, and specifications to create quotations with inclusions/exclusions and cost-saving options.
  • Assess tender documents and deliver completed tender assessments accurately and on time for final approval by senior management.
  • Ensure accurate estimates are completed on time and in accordance with the required technical standards.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from any reputable university.
  • Ideally, you will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Tender Estimator on commercial projects.
  • Able to demonstrate good negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to cross-reference.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Experience in using software for measuring drawings to create take-offs.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team, building strong relationships with suppliers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • You should have good proficiency in the English language.
Job Specification
