Job Title: WordPress Developer (PHP / MySQL / Front-End)

Location: Onsite – Paklogics, Faisalabad

Working Hours: 5:00 PM to 2:00 AM

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer with a strong foundation in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery — someone who understands how WordPress works at the code level (not just via drag & drop tools).

This is a coding role — the ideal candidate will know how to customize themes and plugins programmatically, build features from scratch, and work comfortably across both front-end and back-end.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and customize WordPress themes and child themes with custom PHP code.
  • Build and extend WordPress plugins as needed.
  • Write clean, efficient front-end code using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
  • Work on the WordPress database layer (MySQL), write custom queries when needed.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services.
  • Debug and resolve issues in custom WordPress builds.
  • Optimize site performance and ensure responsive, cross-browser compatible designs.
  • Stay current with WordPress core updates and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 2+ years of professional experience in WordPress development.
  • Solid expertise in PHP and MySQL.
  • Strong front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery.
  • Deep understanding of WordPress core: how the template hierarchy, hooks, actions, filters, and plugin architecture work.
  • Experience building and customizing WordPress themes and plugins at the code level (not just with page builders).
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and WordPress REST API.
  • Version control (Git) experience.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with WooCommerce.
  • Basic understanding of SEO best practices.
  • Familiarity with performance optimization techniques.
