Specific Responsibilities

Overall Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end technical support for products, ensuring compliance with quality standards, cost efficiency, and timely delivery.

  1. Kickoff & line review precautions
  2. Address critical technical issues, including children's safety concerns
  3. Provide technical clarification for TP
  4. Support vendors with difficult styles technical issues
  5. Evaluate FIT/PP
  6. Verify trims and fabrics with Mer
  7. Check design and construction of samples
  8. Inspect measurements
  9. Take fit photos
  10. Verify and correct CAD patterns
  11. Write comments and feedback
  12. Utilize PLM system for sample reports and uploads
  13. Review mock-ups and provide suggestions
  14. Coordinate VC fit sessions with vendors
  15. Verify technical issues with customers
  16. Follow-up on e-pattern corrections with vendors

TOP/Inline Sample Evaluation

Assess samples for technical quality, coordinate with QC, and communicate with Mer/customer. Maintain daily sample logs.

Vendor Enhancement Management

Implement SOPs to monitor factory utilization, learn from safety cases, and improve processes.

Sample Approval Process

Ensure timely submission and high-quality execution of sample approvals, collaborating with merchandisers, buyers, suppliers, and overseas tech teams on pattern making, grading, and sample assessment.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Up-to-date knowledge of garment design, construction trends, and best practices
  • Understanding of garment manufacturing processes, including construction, fabrication, trims, and prints, with a sensibility for costing and design
  • Ability to resolve fitting issues and modify patterns using CAD (Gerber preferred)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Garment Engineering or a related field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, and technical drawings
  • Flex PLM system experience is a plus
