We are a growing digital marketing and technology company managing a large-scale MySQL database infrastructure exceeding 150TB, distributed across multiple high-capacity servers. Our mission is to deliver robust, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior MySQL Database Administrator & Infrastructure Expert to oversee, manage, and optimize our enterprise-level MySQL infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in managing large databases, performance tuning, disaster recovery strategies, and infrastructure scalability.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize large-scale MySQL (MariaDB Galera Cluster) databases (~150TB).
  • Implement and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery processes.
  • Optimize performance and tune database parameters to meet business objectives.
  • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of database systems.
  • Implement load balancing and failover strategies using ProxySQL.
  • Monitor database health using Prometheus, Grafana, or similar monitoring tools.
  • Provide strategic direction for scaling and infrastructure improvements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience managing enterprise-scale MySQL/MariaDB databases.
  • Expert knowledge of Galera Cluster configuration, deployment, and optimization.
  • Strong experience with Linux server administration, storage optimization, and XFS file systems.
  • Proficiency with ProxySQL, HAProxy, or similar database load balancing solutions.
  • Experience in implementing advanced backup and disaster recovery methods.
  • Skilled in performance monitoring and optimization using Prometheus/Grafana.
  • Excellent understanding of database security and data encryption.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in MySQL Database Administration or similar.
  • Experience with cloud-based storage solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes).
