Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly closing activities as per centrally communicated timelines from Siemens.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in the conclusion of journal vouchers as per Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines.
  • Serve as the topic matter expert for selected accounting topics, providing specialized knowledge and guidance.
  • Support Business Units in concluding accounting implications for order recording and related matters per Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines.
  • Assist with the housekeeping activities of all GL and accounting assignment related matters.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and analyses of monthly and quarterly closings, providing briefings to the Head of Accounting to ensure correctness and completeness.
  • Prepare reports and analyze data for financial statement reviews, collaborating with business units to provide actionable insights.
  • Deliver training sessions to commercial teams on accounting guidelines and global projects to foster learning and compliance.
  • Drive process optimization and digitalization initiatives by collaborating with cross-country and multicultural teams to enhance efficiency and innovation.
  • Address ad-hoc requirements and tasks to support local and regional management with a proactive approach.
Qualifications
  • Possess a Degree in Accountancy or an equivalent recognized professional qualification such as CA / ACCA.
  • At least 3 years of experience with a Big 4 firm, multinational clients, or within a multinational corporation.
  • Strong interest in Information Technology with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools; familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP); advanced proficiency in MS Excel; experience in data analytics, visualization, and automation/robotics tools such as KNIME, UiPath, and Power BI is desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask; self-motivated with strong analytical skills and adaptability; excellent presentation skills.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills within a diverse, multinational team environment.
