Accounting Executive - Karachi, Pakistan

As part of the regional governance function and center of competence for all Accounting and Controlling related topics in the region, we aim to be a trusted business partner to ensure integrity of books and records of our Siemens entities across the Middle East region. We collaborate closely with the businesses as well as with our shared services and other governance functions like Tax and Assurance to establish optimized processes. We empower our people to govern and support our business, acting as a trusted partner to management and business in all accounting and financial reporting topics.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Performing monthly closing activities as per centrally communicated timelines from Siemens.
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness in the conclusion of journal vouchers according to Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines.
  • Serving as the Topic Matter Expert for selected accounting topics, providing specialized guidance.
  • Supporting Business Units in accounting implications for order recording and related matters.
  • Supporting housekeeping activities of all GL & accounting assignments.
  • Reviewing and analyzing monthly and quarterly closings, providing insights to ensure correctness and completeness.
  • Preparing reports and analyzing data for financial statement reviews, collaborating with business units.
  • Delivering training sessions on accounting guidelines and global projects.
  • Driving process optimization and digitalization initiatives with cross-country teams.
  • Addressing ad-hoc requirements to support management.

Your success is grounded in:

  • Possessing a Degree in Accountancy or a recognized professional qualification such as CA / ACCA.
  • Having at least 3 years of experience with a Big 4 firm or within a multinational corporation.
  • Having a strong interest in IT, familiarity with ERP systems (preferably SAP), and proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel. Experience with data analytics and automation tools like Power BI, UiPath, or KNIME is desirable.
  • Being able to work independently, multitask, and adapt to change. Strong analytical and presentation skills are required.
  • Demonstrating teamwork and collaboration within diverse teams.
