As a Director of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector, aligned with the Enterprise Technology Division, you will lead a technical area and drive impact across teams, technologies, and projects. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to manage multiple complex projects and initiatives, serving as a primary decision-maker for your teams and driving innovation and solution delivery.

Job Responsibilities
  • Lead technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives.
  • Make decisions influencing team resources, budgets, tactical operations, and the execution of processes and procedures.
  • Maintain governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and success metrics such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations.
  • Deliver technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains.
  • Influence peer leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.
  • Champion the firm's culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience; additionally, 5+ years leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical challenges within your domain.
  • Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists.
  • Experience in hiring, developing, and recognizing talent.
  • Experience managing a product as a Product Owner or Product Manager.
  • Practical cloud-native experience.
  • Expertise in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
  • Experience working at the code level.
