At Xcentric Services, we are looking for an experienced Data Scientist (minimum of 3-4 years experience)

Responsibilities:

  1. Analyzing financial data and presenting it to all Stakeholders
  2. Preparing Excel Dashboard and other required reports and projections based on Data
  3. Evaluating capital expenditures and asset depreciation.
  4. Establishing and evaluating records, statements, and profit plans.
  5. Identifying financial performance trends and financial risk, and making recommendations.
  6. Providing recommendations for improvement based on trends.
  7. Providing financial models.

A strong English communication level is a must, as you will be working directly with our US team and must communicate clearly and accurately in writing and in person with all stakeholders, analysts, developers, and other team members.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, economics, or related field.
  2. Proven experience in the financial industry.
  3. Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and financial software applications like PowerBI & SQL.
  4. Establish a Data Lake in AWS S3 using Parquet files providing interactive querying via Athena.
  5. Expertise working with relational databases, bonus points for PostgreSQL.
  6. You've ingested data from 3rd party systems, ideally with specialized tools such as Airbyte, Fivetran, or Meltano.
  7. You're familiar with CI/CD best practices and take ownership of what you build end-to-end.
  8. Outstanding presentation, reporting, and communication skills.
  9. Proven financial forecasting and diagnosis knowledge, corporate finance, and information analysis.
  10. Proficient in Excel.
  11. Deep understanding of the financial system and institutions.
