The Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer shall manage the assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, funds, and investments of the University.

Prepare annual and revised budget estimates of the University and present them to the Executive Committee or a committee thereof for approval and incorporation in the budget to be presented to the Board.

Ensure that funds of the University are expended on the purposes for which they are provided.

Have accounts of the University audited annually.

Perform such other duties as may be prescribed.

• Accounting and Financial Reporting: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards specific to higher education.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Ability to develop, manage, and analyze budgets and financial forecasts.
• Financial Analysis: Skills in interpreting financial data to inform decision-making and strategy.
• Strategic Financial Planning: Experience in long-term financial planning and aligning financial resources with the university's strategic goals.
• Compliance: Understanding of federal and local regulations affecting higher education finance.
• Audit Management: Experience with internal and external audits, including ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Financial Software: Proficiency with financial management software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
• Data Analytics: Ability to leverage data analytics tools to enhance financial decision-making and reporting.
