Chief Financial Officer / Treasurer Job Summary

The Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer shall manage the assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, funds, and investments of the University.

  • This role is responsible for preparing annual and revised budget estimates of the University and presenting them to the Executive Committee or a committee thereof for approval and incorporation in the budget to be presented to the Board.
  • The Chief Financial Officer/Treasurer shall ensure that funds of the University are expended on the purposes for which they are provided.
  • They shall have accounts of the University audited annually.
Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning: Develop, manage, and analyze budgets and financial forecasts to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Audit Management: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards through effective audit management practices.
  • Financial Analysis: Interpret financial data to inform decision-making and strategy.
