Job Description

  • Support the creation, maintenance, and execution of the Country Government Affairs and Business Sustainability strategy.
  • Work with management on Federal & Provincial Government Affairs issues faced by the organization and industry.
  • Engage actively with stakeholders, including Ministries, Provincial Departments, LEAs, Multilaterals, and industry forums such as Croplife.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional Syngenta teams to promote priorities in crop protection, seeds, and sustainability.
  • Support business units by engaging with relevant government and non-government institutions, including partnerships with financial institutions.
  • Manage external communications for Syngenta Pakistan across all platforms, including digital and print media.
  • Showcase Syngenta activities on social media platforms like LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.

Sustainability Accountabilities

  • Work closely with Supply Chain & Regulatory teams to develop sustainability programs.
  • Support the development of a country-specific sustainability strategy aligned with regional and global strategies, focusing on climate, regenerative agriculture, biodiversity, rural prosperity, water, and energy conservation.
  • Collect data, including metrics, KPIs, and other measurement tools for sustainability.
  • Develop and support relationships with agricultural value chain companies, suppliers, growers, and stakeholders to promote sustainable initiatives.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate sustainability practices into daily operations.
  • Contribute to sustainability reports and communication for stakeholders.
  • Support training and awareness programs related to sustainability.
  • Manage relationships with external sustainability partners and organizations.
  • Identify and evaluate new sustainability opportunities and technologies.
  • Assist in developing sustainable products and services.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in Communications, Corporate Affairs, or Sustainability functions.
  • Ability to collaborate with senior leaders and executives.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Good knowledge of agricultural industry stewardship, sustainability issues, and challenges.
