Job Summary

We are seeking a certified Junior Oracle DBA (OCP) to assist in managing, maintaining, and securing our Oracle Database environments, including Exadata, Oracle Vault, and Database Firewall implementations. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of Oracle database administration, performance tuning, and security best practices, with a willingness to learn advanced technologies under the guidance of senior DBAs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and patching of Oracle Databases (19c/21c) and Exadata systems.
  • Perform database monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning using AWR, ASH, OEM and SQL Tuning Advisor.
  • Support backup and recovery operations using RMAN, including disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Deployment of Oracle Database Schema, Tables, Views, Sequences, Package, Procedure, function etc. and it's compilation.
  • Configure and maintain Oracle Database Firewall for security monitoring and threat prevention.
  • Work with Data Guard for high availability and replication setups.
  • Apply quarterly security patches (PSU/BP) and assist in database upgrades.
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.
  • Collaborate with senior DBAs and IT security teams to enforce database security policies.
  • Knowledge of Linux / Windows for database Administration & Configuration including batch scripting/jobs scheduling

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Mandatory: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) for Database Administration (19c/21c).
  • Basic knowledge of Oracle Exadata architecture (storage cells, smart scans, IORM).
  • Understanding of Oracle security features (TDE, Vault, Database Firewall, Audit Vault) will be a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with RMAN, Data Guard, and ASM.
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL scripting for automation and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) / Cloud Control.
  • Basic Linux/Unix skills for database administration tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Experience Level: 1-3 years

Certification Requirement: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) for Database Administration
