Role and Responsibilities
  • Act as SPOC for the solutions/applications being developed, interacting with the client.
  • Participate in scoping, effort estimation, and planning.
  • Collaborate on milestone plans, key deliverables, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Develop a WMS strategy aligned with client goals.
  • Drive solution architecture, design, and ensure reusability and customization.
  • Make critical technical decisions to meet client expectations.
  • Define best practices and standards.
  • Establish code review processes and perform reviews for customizations.
  • Maintain high technical competence within the team.
  • Identify business problems and develop solutions and frameworks for clients.
  • Create skill-building plans and contribute to knowledge sharing.
  • Assist in hiring and mentor team members.
  • Contribute to white papers, blogs, and case studies.
  • Participate in presales activities, including solution architecture and proposal development.
  • Develop POCs, accelerators, evaluate tools, and contribute to marketing collateral.
  • Implement and configure Manhattan WMS modules for various warehouse processes.
Skills and Experience
  • 12+ years in WMS (preferably Manhattan WMS), Java/J2EE, JavaScript, Velocity.
  • Mandatory expertise in Manhattan WMS and its integration with ERP/MHE systems; knowledge of Manhattan Active & Proactive is a plus.
  • Experience in the Retail and E-commerce domains.
  • Ability to customize WMS for specific business rules and integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of inbound/outbound WMS processes, web services (REST & SOAP).
  • Experience in designing enterprise applications, refactoring, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with messaging systems (Kafka, MQ, RabbitMQ, JMS) and security protocols (JWT, OAuth, SAML).
  • Proficiency in Test-Driven Development, Domain-Driven Design, and clean code principles.
  • Client-facing experience and familiarity with matrix organizations and onsite-offshore models.
  • Experience with estimation techniques, presentations, demos, and Agile methodology.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
