Chief Legal Officer

Legal Strategy: Develop and implement legal strategies to safeguard NADRA's interests and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Risk Management: Identify legal and privacy-related risks, providing proactive guidance and solutions to mitigate potential issues.Contract Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents.Regulatory Compliance: Monitor changes in laws and regulations, ensure NADRA's policies and procedures are updated accordingly.----------------------------------Professional Experience:---
• Minimum 15 years' experience of law practice.
• Advocate of High Court / Supreme Court of Pakistan.
• Extensive legal practice experience, focusing on regulatory compliance, data privacy, public administration, and corporate governance.
• Experience in handling HR-related legal issues and corporate litigation, including disputes, contract negotiations, and employment law.
• Previous roles in government and regulatory bodies, particularly those involving policy development, legal compliance, and managing privacy issues.
• Proven track record in leading legal strategies, advising senior stakeholders, and preferably handling legal matters involving large databases and IT infrastructures.
• Familiarity with international standards in data protection and privacy.
• Resilience and decision-making capability in fast-paced environments.
• Working knowledge of Procurement/PPRA/SECP Rules and Regulations.-----------------------------------Skills and Competencies:
• In-depth knowledge of Pakistani law, especially which relates to citizen registration, citizenship, information technology, privacy, data protection and corporate law.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to apply legal principles in a practical and business-focused way.
• Leadership abilities to manage and direct legal and cross-functional teams effectively in high-stakes scenarios.
• High ethical standards and integrity, crucial for roles involving sensitive personal data-----------------------------------Educational Background:
• A law degree (LLB or equivalent) from HEC recognized university.
• Advanced degrees in law, such as LLM preferably PhD, with specializations that may include constitutional law, privacy law, administrative law and corporate law.
• Additional qualification in privacy, data protection and regulatory affairs shall be preferred.-----------------------------------Job Location:-- Islamabad

1. Selected professional will be hired initially for contract period of 5 years (extendable if required).2.
