We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic WordPress Developer with expertise in core PHP to become a valuable member of our IT team In this role, you will undertake both front-end and back-end development tasks, including the creation of WordPress plugins and themes.

As a WordPress Developer within our organization, you'll have the chance to utilize your skills and experience to deliver high-quality solutions.

Job Specification

Technical skills:

  • Proficient in WordPress development, including creating custom themes & plugins and modifying existing themes and plugins.
  • Experience with WordPress development frameworks and tools such as jQuery, Bootstrap, React, or Angular.
  • Experience in WordPress page builders (e.g., Elementor, Divi, etc.).
  • Knowledge of WordPress security best practices and experience with WordPress security plugins.
  • Ability to develop and integrate RESTful APIs and web services into WordPress.
  • Familiarity with popular WordPress plugins such as WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, Contact Form 7, and Jetpack.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Time management and ability to meet project deadlines.
  • Desire to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of post-graduate experience in PHP and WordPress development (both frontend and backend).
  • Experience with custom WordPress themes and plugin development is required.
