Job Title: Deputy Manager / Assistant Manager – Fabric Sourcing (Greige)

Department: Fabric Procurement / Sourcing

Reports to: Manager / Senior Manager – Fabric Sourcing

Job Purpose: To manage and execute the sourcing of greige (unfinished) fabrics from local and international suppliers, ensuring cost effectiveness, quality compliance, and timely delivery as per production and business requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Have strong command on greige fabrics, including types, weaving, and technical specifications.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable greige fabric suppliers (local & international).
  • Maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure stability of sourcing.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, and lead times to optimize sourcing costs.
  • Ensure greige fabrics meet company's quality standards and technical requirements.
  • Coordinate with planning, procurement, and production teams to align fabric sourcing with demand.
  • Monitor market trends, price fluctuations, and alternative sourcing options.
  • Maintain sourcing records, supplier databases, and performance evaluations.
  • Assist in risk management by ensuring alternate sourcing strategies.
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong knowledge and command on greige fabrics.
  • Excellent sourcing and negotiation skills.
  • Supplier relationship management and networking ability.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Good command of MS Office / ERP systems.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's / Master's in Textile Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business Administration.
  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in fabric sourcing (preferably greige).
