About Job:

The position of Deputy Manager – Legal Affairs involves providing support in litigation management, contract drafting and review, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and representing the organization before various forums. The role requires assisting in the management of legal cases, coordinating with external counsel, and maintaining professional relationships with regulatory bodies and government institutions to safeguard organizational interests.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Case Management:

Assist in managing all legal cases, litigation, and dispute resolution processes to ensure timely and effective resolution.

Contract Management:

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to align with organizational objectives and ensure legal compliance.

Legal Compliance:

Support in monitoring and ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, rules, regulations, and industry standards.

External Representation:

Represent the organization in judicial and regulatory forums, either independently or alongside external legal counsel.

Documentation:

Maintain accurate and updated documentation, ensuring timely follow-ups and compliance with legal and procedural requirements.

Qualification & Experience:

Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB or LLM) from an HEC-recognized institution.
  • Experience:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in a legal affairs or compliance role, preferably within the manufacturing sector.

Skills:

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in handling corporate and litigation matters.
  • Sound understanding of local laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Ability to manage pressure and maintain confidentiality.
  • High level of tact, resilience, and problem-solving capability.
