Metro Power Group is looking for an experienced and strategic Legal Manager to lead our legal function and guide critical business decisions. This role involves overseeing legal documentation, advising on regulatory and contractual risks, managing external counsel, and ensuring legal compliance across all operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee review of all legal documentation of the Company, including its various contracts, agreements, letters, correspondence, notices, applications, petitions etc. in relation to its operational, finance, strategic, regulatory and compliance domains, and advising on legal risks with a proper understanding of terms & conditions.
  • Oversee maintenance of legal records, ensuring the database is regularly updated & all legal documents are accounted for.
  • Provide legal input and recommendations to Management as required.
  • Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authorities etc.), creating relations of trust and effective communication channels.
  • Coordinate with internal & external stakeholders during project planning, implementation & operations phase, ensuring legal compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Develop a legal research function in the department, researching and evaluating different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations.
  • Anticipate and mitigate legal risks connected with or resulting from business strategies & operations.
  • Oversee & instruct legal team, planning & ensuring job enrichment, succession planning and holistic knowledge of departmental functions.
  • Any other task assigned by Management.

Job Requirements:

  • Education:LLB or LLM degree
  • Experience:Minimum 8 years (including at least 4 years in corporate legal work)
  • Strong command ofcorporate law,compliance,labor law, anddispute resolution
  • Excellentdrafting,negotiation, andanalyticalskills
  • Strong communication and multitasking abilities
  • High attention to detail
  • Maintains professional confidentiality
