Purpose of the Job

An associate architect is in charge of handling various projects and reporting progress to the lead architect. He/She is actively involved in each project from inception to execution and handover to the clients. Designing architecture requires knowledge, patience, technical expertise and creativity, which an associate architect brings along with experience. The associate architect must follow industrial practices and organizational policies while executing a project. He/She will supervise junior staff and train them if they face difficulties at any phase during the project. Throughout the process, the associate architect must meet and communicate with many people. He/She is expected to keep track of all project-related activities and maintain contact details of vendors and temporary staff for future reference.

Main opportunities and challenges for this Job
  • Provide support to all business activities and ensure effective implementation of all business processes; prepare reports for effective utilization of all services.
  • Coordinate with management and maintain optimal reporting and data collection standards; analyze processes to improve operations.
  • Assist all external vendors to track issues and provide enhancements to systems; document all standard operating procedures.
  • Develop and perform tests on new functionality and provide optimal level of support to customers and associate training.
  • Analyze and identify issues in business processes; resolve issues daily and prepare reports for management.
  • Design and enhance all systems; prepare accurate data and coordinate with internal and external sources to ensure efficient synchronization.
  • Participate in meetings, prepare test scripts and analyze results to resolve various small-scale projects; analyze business requirements and evaluate processes efficiently.
Main Accountabilities
  • Prepare designs for assigned new projects
  • Review designs to ensure they meet standards, support users' needs, and comply with codes
  • Meet with engineers, contractors, administrators and management regarding project programming, planning and design development requirements, and construction progress; resolve issues and provide direction on design and construction matters
  • Analyze space utilization and requirements as needed
  • Prepare presentation materials and document project updates
Qualifications / language requirements

Minimum / essential

Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Architecture, Design, or similar

Role Specific Knowledge & Experience

Minimum / essential

3-4 years of experience (preferably in designing multi-storey commercial and residential projects)
