Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and data integration solutions on AWS
- Architect and implement cloud-native data platforms, including data lakes and data warehouses (e.g., Redshift)
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical data engineering solutions
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, ensuring best practices in data engineering and AWS usage
- Optimize data pipelines and storage solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance practices across AWS environments
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines for data workflows and infrastructure automation
- Support DevOps initiatives with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and workflow orchestration tools (Airflow, Step Functions, etc.)
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7–8 years of hands-on experience in
data engineering with AWS - Strong command of AWS services for data engineering: Glue, Redshift, Athena, S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Cloud Formation, IAM, API Gateway
- Proficiency in
SQL and Python
; experience with PySpark/Spark is a strong plus - Experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT workflows and data models
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, and security best practices
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven track record in delivering end-to-end
data engineering projects
and leading small teams - AWS Certified (minimum: 2 Associate or 1 Professional level)
Preferred / Good to Have
- Experience with Azure (Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics)
- Familiarity with Databricks and Delta Lake architecture
- Exposure to data visualization tools such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI
