Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with insurance providers to resolve billing issues and ensure we receive the highest possible reimbursements.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups with patients regarding deductibles, outstanding payments, and appointment scheduling.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff and doctors to ensure all medical coding and patient notes are correctly entered into the system.
  • Ensure maximum revenue generation by identifying opportunities to optimize billing practices and reduce claim denials.
  • Submit claims and follow-ups on denials, ensuring any issues are resolved quickly and efficiently.
  • Monitor the billing process, ensuring it adheres to medical billing standards and that all procedures are coded accurately for insurance submissions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing regulations, ensuring compliance with both insurance provider requirements and state and federal laws.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in medical billing, with specific knowledge of GI procedures and pathology coding.
  • Experience managing insurance claims, deductibles, and communicating with insurance providers to resolve billing issues.
  • Strong attention to detail when handling medical codes, ensuring accurate submissions to avoid delays or rejections.
  • Fluent English, with perfect communication skills and a western accent, to effectively manage patient and insurance inquiries.
  • Strong understanding of medical billing software and EMR systems.
  • Personal transportation (bike or car) is required for in-person collaboration and meetings.

Ideal Candidate:

  • A highly organized and hard-working individual with a deep understanding of GI medical billing.
  • Someone who can handle complex billing issues, while maintaining a positive attitude and keeping the process moving smoothly.
