Upwork Proposal & Bidding Specialist Full Time

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Proposal & Bidding Specialist to manage a new Upwork profile, with the goal of winning maximum projects and building a credible profile quickly. Your responsibilities will include identifying suitable opportunities, crafting persuasive proposals, and establishing long-term client relationships for repeat business.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identify relevant jobs and bidding opportunities on Upwork based on our service offerings.
  • Write customized, compelling proposals and cover letters to maximize success rates.
  • Manage and grow our Upwork profile, focusing on ratings, job success score, and client feedback.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients for long-term collaborations.
  • Coordinate with the internal team to estimate effort and ensure realistic delivery timelines.
  • Maintain detailed records of proposals sent, outcomes, and lessons learned to refine strategies.
  • Monitor Upwork trends and platform changes to stay competitive.
Skills Required
  • Ability to write clear, tailored, and persuasive proposals.
  • Knowledge of how to improve Upwork Job Success Score, ratings, and client feedback.
  • Understanding of effective communication tone, structure, and content for clients.
  • In-depth knowledge of Upwork's interface, policies, bidding system, and algorithm.
  • Experience in managing and optimizing Upwork profiles.
  • Strong sales mindset with the ability to identify and qualify high-potential leads.
  • Understanding of client psychology and how to position offers for conversion.
  • Fluent written and verbal English skills.
  • Professional communication with clients, including asking relevant questions and handling objections.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
Job Experience
  • Minimum 6 months of proven freelancing experience, preferably on Upwork or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to write winning proposals and secure projects.
  • Experience in managing or contributing to a freelance profile's growth is a strong plus.
