Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Data Engineer / Analyst to support our data platform initiatives using Azure technologies. The ideal candidate should have 1+ years of experience and a solid foundation in data engineering and analytics, especially with tools like Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks/Synapse Analytics, and Power BI. This role offers the opportunity to grow with a modern data stack in a cloud-first environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
  • Work with Databricks for data transformation and cleansing tasks using PySpark or SQL.
  • Build Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs and data insights.
  • Support the implementation of ETL/ELT strategies to move and transform data across environments.
  • Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver data-driven solutions.
  • Participate in data validation, testing, and documentation.

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (data flows, triggers, linked services).
  • Familiarity with Databricks (using notebooks, PySpark/SQL transformations).
  • Good knowledge of Power BI (datasets, measures, visualizations).
  • Proficient in SQL and data manipulation techniques.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts (fact/dimension tables, star schema).
  • Willingness to learn and grow in a cloud-native environment.

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with Git for version control.
  • Knowledge of DevOps pipelines for data deployments.
  • Exposure to Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Parquet/Delta formats.
  • Familiarity with basic scripting in Python or Shell.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
