Location
- Karachi
- Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Economics, or Law.
- 7+ years of experience in procurement.
- At least 3 years in a leadership role, supporting operations in a comparable environment (mining or industrial sector).
- Proven track record in developing and implementing procurement strategies, leading teams, and driving process improvements.
- Expertise in procurement software such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar systems.
- Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop insights.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Deep understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and ethical sourcing principles.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the business objectives of the Company.
- Oversee the procurement cycle, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
- Lead and manage a team of buyers, providing guidance and performance feedback.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement effectiveness.
- Oversee sourcing for all categories of goods and services, ensuring best value and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and conduct spend analysis.
- Negotiate complex contracts and manage strategic vendor relationships.
- Stay updated on market trends and best practices in procurement.
- Lead initiatives to streamline and automate procurement processes using technology and data analytics.
- Develop and implement procurement policies ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
- Build a high-performing procurement team through effective training and development.
- Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing.
- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing updates on procurement activities and resolving issues.
