Location

  • Karachi

Qualification
  • Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, Economics, or Law.

Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in procurement.
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role, supporting operations in a comparable environment (mining or industrial sector).
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing procurement strategies, leading teams, and driving process improvements.

Requirements
  • Expertise in procurement software such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar systems.
  • Strong analytical and data management skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop insights.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strategic thinking and planning abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deep understanding of procurement best practices, contract law, and ethical sourcing principles.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the business objectives of the Company.
  • Oversee the procurement cycle, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Lead and manage a team of buyers, providing guidance and performance feedback.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track procurement effectiveness.
  • Oversee sourcing for all categories of goods and services, ensuring best value and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, develop sourcing strategies, and conduct spend analysis.
  • Negotiate complex contracts and manage strategic vendor relationships.
  • Stay updated on market trends and best practices in procurement.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline and automate procurement processes using technology and data analytics.
  • Develop and implement procurement policies ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Build a high-performing procurement team through effective training and development.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, providing updates on procurement activities and resolving issues.
