We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  1. Hunt for malicious or anomalous activity across the enterprise, using existing tools. Act in coordination with GCO staff to develop and implement advanced analysis and search capabilities focused on identifying sophisticated APT and insider threat activities.
  2. Research new and existing threat actors and associated TTPs; develop a detailed understanding of their potential impact; and recommend solutions to improve our defensive and detective capabilities.
  3. Collaborate with the wider Cybersecurity functions, e.g., Red Team, to develop hypotheses for new attack techniques and evasion methods.
  4. Coordinate threat hunting activities, leveraging intelligence from multiple sources.
  5. Review incident and penetration testing reports and logs to identify detection gaps and recommend improvements.
  6. Provide expert analytic support on large-scale, complex security incidents.
  7. Contribute to the evolution of hunting, monitoring, detection, analysis, and response capabilities and processes.
  8. Train, develop, mentor, and inspire colleagues in areas of expertise to strengthen Cybersecurity Operations capabilities.
  9. Represent HSBC Global Cybersecurity Operations at internal and external cybersecurity forums.
  10. Collaborate with Cybersecurity and IT teams to ensure technological capabilities remain effective against current and emerging threats.
  11. Identify processes suitable for automation and orchestration to maximize resource efficiency.
