Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM) in Gulberg, Lahore. The Global Trade Compliance Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations across all import and export activities. This role plays a key part in managing risk, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining compliance with customs laws, trade sanctions, and licensing requirements globally.

Responsibilities

• Shipment Status: Monitor all global shipments closely, ensure customers are provided with timely updates about their project status, including any potential or actual delays, and address all escalations to ensure smooth and timely delivery.
• Compliance Requirements: Manage and ensure all tariffs, customs regulations, licenses, and country-specific trade requirements are met.
• Documentation: Oversee the preparation, verification, and submission of import and export documentation, including invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, customs declarations, and all related documents.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and conduct quarterly business review meetings for feedback. Develop strategies to increase business volume with existing clients.
• Analytics & Reporting: Maintain monthly and quarterly operation reports related to projects, progression, QC, escalations, order cancellations, customer feedback, team, and overall departmental progress.
• Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor a team, ensuring they meet performance goals. Maintain continuous feedback and develop leaders within the team.
• Pricing Portal Development: Ensure team and customers use TLS pricing portal; report requirements and errors to R&D.
• Business Operations Strategy: Develop, implement, and continually refine the organization's B2B operational strategies, policies, and SOPs to align with business goals and client requirements.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in international trade operations, including regulatory compliance, currency fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with sales, finance, marketing, and HR teams to align operations with company strategies.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain, or related fields, proficiency in HS codes and Incoterms, experience in Customs Valuation and Trade Compliance, logistics and supply chain industry knowledge, excellent communication and writing skills, strong analytical and leadership abilities, multitasking skills, and experience managing teams of 5 or more members.

Experience

• 6-8 years of related experience in import/export, customs regulation, and international trade laws.
