Frontend Engineer

We are looking for a Front-end Engineer willing to roll up their sleeves, roll with the punches, and be ok with a dynamic (and sometimes unpredictable) startup environment where you will have a direct and immediate impact on the direction of the company, the product, and actually improving the lives of populations who need it the most.

• Design, develop, and deploy features on our platform.
• Develop engaging, easy-to-use interfaces that feel natural and empower users.
• Share expertise with team members, helping them to develop new frontend features and reviewing their code.
• Contribute and collaborate with team members on technical and architectural decisions
• Be ready to solve problems and help our stakeholders.

You have a well-founded understanding of React.

• 2+ years of experience in React.js, React Native, and Front-End Development
• Experience maintaining a living and complex codebase with a modern stack
• Familiarity with Unit Testing using (Mocha, Chai, and Jest)
• Experience working with design systems, e.g, Bootstrap, MaterialUI, React Native Paper
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs
• Experience with integration and end-to-end testing using frameworks like Selenium and Cypress
• Expertise in App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android) app submission processes
• In-depth knowledge of app store guidelines, submission requirements, and review processes for both platforms
• Proven track record of successfully navigating app store submission, review, and publication workflows

You have good communication skills.As a distributed team, it's important that we're able to understand each other, verbally and in writing, connecting at the appropriate level of abstraction. You communicate clearly and with empathy, whether discussing refactoring options with a developer or working with a designer to understand user experience.

You write clean, thoughtful code.Our code is the home that we live in every day. You enjoy putting effort into crafting understandable and well-tested code to make everyone's shared development experience more enjoyable.

You are eager to collaborate, learn, and teach.Our Engineering team is friendly and supportive of each other, and we look for opportunities to learn from each other's experiences.
