Job Responsibilities

Ø Applied all HSE policies and procedures and strive to continually improve all aspects of HSE performance.

Ø To understand operation of system Gas Turbine, Boiler, and Steam Turbine, BOP, Open and close cooling system, Black start and emergency diesel engine generator, Gas pressure Regulating station and GIS by reading manuals, all the procedures and operate system as per OEM recommendations and to control process of above-mentioned equipment's through plant distribution control system (DCS) and other process control device.

Ø Daily timely reading taking in log sheet and write all readings clearly and sign at the end of shift and give to shift manager to review and sign.

Ø Monitoring and take corrective actions in case of system abnormalities as per OEM recommendations after taking shift manager in confidence.

Ø To carry out predictive troubleshooting by monitoring operating parameters, reviewed data, trends, and overall integrated performance of the plant.

Ø Perform smartly and intelligently in case of emergency operation situation such as Total power failure situation.

Ø Isolating and preparing equipment for safe work with shift manager co-ordination.

Ø Masters a shift turnover process to ensure a seamless transfer of information to incoming shift by verbal communication and writing shift end report in log book clearly and operator is not allowed leaving area before his reliever is on site with information of Shift Manager.

Ø General housekeeping is the responsibility of Operator in his working area and make sure after maintenance work area is clean by maintenance team.

Ø Conduct predictive maintenance while in the shift as per requirement (i.e) vibration analysis, thermography, lube oil sampling for analysis, demin water, water treatment sampling and waste water treatment sampling.

Safety Responsibilities

Ø Is responsible for his own safety and health and is accountable for his own behavior.

Ø Ensures that his actions will not jeopardize the safety or health of other employees.

Ø Is alert to observe and correct, or report, unsafe practices, and conditions.

Ø Maintains a safe and healthful place to work.

Ø Makes suggestions to improve any aspect of HSE.

Ø Maintains an active interest in safety.

Ø Learns and follows the operating/ maintenance procedures and HSE rules and procedures for safe performance of the job.

Ø Follows the established procedures if accidents occur.

Ø Checks worthiness of all tools and equipment before use. Ensures that all tools & equipment are safe for use.

Ø Must use the required PPEs/SPEs.

Ø Must know his emergency role statement and follow it in case of emergency

Qualification/Experience

Ø Minimum qualification for Control Room Operator having DAE/B-tech (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics or chemical) having minimum Three (03) year experience as a Control Room operator
