LUMA simplifies the complexity of modern school management by connecting every essential operational and academic function within one intelligent ecosystem, enabling a more efficient and productive environment. This separation is central to how we're positioned in the market, and to how we sell.
The Role
We're looking for someone early in their sales career to help bring Luma to schools and districts across the region. This is a relationship-building, door-opening, pipeline-building role — not a quota-repeating one. You'll spend most of your time meeting school leaders, understanding their problems, and learning what actually moves a decision forward in this market.
We're less interested in a fixed playbook and more interested in someone who will test, adapt, and figure out what works here.
What You'll Do
- Identify and prospect schools and districts across the assigned region
- Build relationships with administrators, principals, and decision‑makers
- Run product walkthroughs and demos tailored to what each school actually cares about
- Manage a pipeline from first contact through closeFeed market and customer insight back to the product and marketing teams
- Represent Luma at education conferences, fairs, and district events
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer‑facing role (education sector experience is a plus, not a requirement)
- Genuinely curious — asks good questions and listens before pitching
- Comfortable with ambiguity; not looking for a fixed script to follow
- Strong communicator, confident presenting to school leadership
- Self‑motivated and organized enough to manage a multi‑stage pipeline
- Fluent in English; additional regional languages a plus
What We're Not Looking For
Someone who's already set in a particular sales method and reluctant to adjust it. This market and this product are still being learned — we need someone building the playbook with us, not importing one.
What You'll Get
- Direct mentorship from founders and senior sales leadership
- Real ownership of a territory from early on
- A fast‑growing product with a clear, differentiated story to sell
- Room to grow into a senior sales or regional leadership role as the company scales
Location
Regional (travel across territory required)
