We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer / Architect to join our growing development team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about designing scalable systems, mentoring developers, and driving software architecture best practices across teams. While expertise in Ruby on Rails is a significant plus, we value strong software design and leadership skills above all.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications and systems.
  • Lead architectural decisions and define technical standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to the development team.
  • Drive system improvements and proactively identify technical risks and issues.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and processes to ensure the highest software quality.
  • Take ownership of system design from conception to deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in software development.
  • Proven experience in system architecture and software design patterns.
  • Strong command over at least one modern web development stack.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • DevOps experience or understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React, Vue.js, or Angular is a plus.
  • Previous experience in mentoring or leading engineering teams.
