About the job: Accounts and Tax Executive

An Australian accounting and tax firm is expanding its back-office support services in Pakistan and is seeking talented candidates to join our team.

Position Overview: Accounts and Tax Executive

We are looking for an Accounts and Tax Executive to support our Accounts and Tax Senior Executive and Accounts and Tax Assistant Manager in various financial tasks, including:

  • Preparing and maintaining financial records
  • Assisting in financial statement preparation
  • Processing invoices and payroll
  • Supporting month-end and year-end close processes

The Accounts and Tax Executive will work under the guidance of Senior Accountants or Assistant Managers, playing a critical role in ensuring financial data accuracy and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial records.
  • Record daily transactions in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial data.
  • Invoicing and Payments: Process invoices with proper documentation, issue payments to vendors and suppliers, and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Payroll Processing: Prepare and process client payroll, calculate wages, deductions, overtime, and benefits, manage payroll taxes, deductions, and contributions, and keep detailed payroll records.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and generate financial reports for review.
  • Support audit preparation by gathering required documentation.
  • Data Entry and Accuracy: Accurately enter financial data into software systems, review and verify data for discrepancies, and assist in data cleansing and database maintenance.
  • Tax Preparation & Compliance: Prepare tax returns for various entities, maximize tax-saving opportunities through deductions, credits, and strategies.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Stay current on laws and regulations, ensure adherence to policies, assist with compliance activities, and manage bookkeeping tasks in Xero, including transactions, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation. Monitor and manage client cash flow in Xero.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field or ACCA Part-qualified.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks.
  • Understanding of accounting and financial processes.
  • Benefits include 6 monthly performance bonuses, private health insurance, annual increments, and 75% reimbursement of ACCA or CA exam fees upon passing.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day
  • 7:00 am to 3:00 pm (PST)
