Position Summary

The expert is responsible for oversight and coordination of all aspects related to planning and organizing events and meetings for the organization. The role involves strategizing, planning, and implementing effective special events aimed at educating constituents and increasing awareness of energy efficiency and conservation. The expert will also assist in content development, design, and operationalization, and will collaborate with the tele-school channel launched by the Government of Pakistan to develop an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Awareness Campaign across the country. The expert will develop content for publication on the tele-school channel.

Responsibilities

The Communications and Media Expert will be responsible for:

  1. Developing, planning, and executing communication strategies to sensitize stakeholders and promote energy efficiency and conservation across all sectors of the economy.
  2. Standardizing templates for internal and external communications, including letterheads, cover letters, and PowerPoint presentations.
  3. Developing branding guidelines and institutional reporting, reviewing monthly and annual reports for consistency in templates, fonts, and design.
  4. Designing training programs, developing training materials, and organizing workshops, seminars, and courses on energy efficiency topics in collaboration with academic institutions and relevant organizations.
  5. Coordinating with print and electronic media for reporting on energy efficiency workshops and seminars.
  6. Building a reputation at the national and provincial levels as a leading authority in energy efficiency and conservation by developing materials for electronic and print media.
  7. Promoting the organization's image by highlighting work in the energy efficiency and conservation domain on social media platforms.
  8. Developing and executing Energy Efficiency and Conservation Awareness Campaigns across the country, ensuring content is available in local and regional languages for radio and television.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or a relevant discipline from a recognized university. Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field are preferred.
Location
  • This is an Islamabad-based position.
Experience
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience, including at least three years in energy efficiency in a relevant field.
Duration
  • 6 months.
