Age Limit: No specific age limit, but applicants must have at least 3 years of relevant experience

Pay Scale: PPS-7

Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in operation and maintenance of local networks and computer systems

Qualification: MS/BS/M.Sc in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, IT, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a relevant field.

Key Skills and Responsibilities

As a Support Engineer, you will be responsible for various critical IT functions that ensure the smooth running of the organization's network and computer systems. Below are the core duties and skills required for this role:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Hardware and Software Management: Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.

2. Network Configuration: Set up and manage network devices, VLANs, and subnetting, following the company's policies.

3. Technical Support: Provide technical support for diagnosing and resolving network issues related to connectivity, performance, or security.

4. Network Security: Implement and maintain network security protocols such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS (Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems).

5. Security Audits: Conduct regular network security audits and ensure compliance with industry and organizational security standards.

6. Network Maintenance: Plan, schedule, and perform regular network maintenance, firmware updates, and hardware upgrades.

7. Backup Management: Assist with disaster recovery planning and ensure backup management to make network data recoverable in case of system failure.

8. User Support: Track computer system issues to resolution, ensuring timely follow-up with users to ensure their IT systems are fully functional.

Required Skills:

1. Proficient in Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments.

2. Strong troubleshooting skills.

3. Additional certifications in Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, or similar technologies are a plus.

4. Ability to prepare accurate and timely reports for management.
