Education Welfare Officer

We are recruiting Education Welfare Officer (Male/Female) for an Education Welfare Foundation based in Lahore.

The postholders will be responsible for:

  1. Undertaking the statutory duties and responsibilities placed within the Education Welfare Service that relates to children of compulsory school age.
  2. Collecting data of underprivileged families highlighted by the foundation.
  3. Maintaining confidential records of support for all students referred.
  4. Ensuring all children of compulsory school age are in receipt of education.
  5. Getting them admission in a respective class, arranging their school uniform, books, monthly school fee, stipend, and school pick and drop.
  6. Supporting children to return to full-time education where they may have additional needs and attendance issues.
  7. Working directly with schools by providing guidance to reduce school absence and initiating strict action on persistent absent pupils.
  8. Conducting regular supervisory visits to schools.
  9. Monthly data collection of students' progress.
  10. Conducting regular meetings with school teachers for progress.
  11. Submitting monthly progress reports to the higher management.
Job Specification

To be an Education Welfare Officer, you will be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children as well as demonstrating the following points:

  1. Experience in a similar role working with both schools and other services within an education setting or similar.
  2. Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to form good working relationships with a range of internal and external colleagues.
  3. Familiarity with the surrounding area and the best possible method of traveling.
Personal Skills & Qualities
  • Education: Bachelors in Social Sciences with vocational training and certifications.
  • Experience Required: Three years of experience working in an inner-city school or educational establishment.
  • Experience working with challenging students and parents, and finding ways in which we can meet their needs more successfully.
  • Self-Transport: Selected candidate should have their transport.
