Pre-Sales & Solutions Engineer (Digitalization) – INTECH Process Automation is a globally renowned system integrator and industrial automation company. What You'll Lead And Deliver

The Solution Engineer will provide support to architect and develop Industry 4.0 solutions responsible for leading our customers to digital transformation in areas of industrial analytics, operations and security. You will understand customer requirements and design innovative technical solutions using existing and potential technology partners and tools, and prepare and present proposals.

• Work in close coordination with Solution Consultant, Account Managers and Sales Team to ensure timely and quality delivery of solution proposals and presenting technical elements of the proposal in support of a bidding cycle.
• Support Solution and Sales Team in developing solution presentations as required.
• Participate in activities such as site surveys and requirement gathering workshops as needed.
• Respond to proposal requests and support bids, ensuring compliance with internal and customer requirements related to Analytics, Digital Operations and Cybersecurity.
• Provide support to review, evaluate and summarize complex software project terms and conditions and liaise with relevant subject matter experts.
• Coordinate with internal product specialists to prepare and deliver demonstrations and proof of concepts on-demand to support pre-sales activities.
• Lead initiatives relating to standardisation (techniques, methods, processes, templates, tools) to improve efficiency and repeatability and support knowledge transfer.
• Coordinate with Technology Partners for solution development and identify new potential partners to meet customer requirements.
• Contribute to intelligent solution architecting and business development functions within the group.
• Support development of marketing collateral with the Marketing Team for existing and new solutions.
• Design solutions according to customer scope and assist the solution architect in packaging the solutions.
• Develop technical design and explain the design through proposal documents for sales and BD teams.
• Work with Solution Consultant and Sales Team to ensure timely and quality delivery of solution proposals.

Requirements

To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:

Technical Skills

• Professional degree in Engineering/Software or relevant field with solution development or deployment experience in Industrial Automation and Digitalization for at least 3+ years in Manufacturing, Petrochem, Fertilizer, Oil & Energy, Power or Utilities.
• Basic knowledge of Industry 4.0 terms and technologies used to deploy such systems.
• Prior experience with Industrial IoT solutions design and/or application development and deployment is preferred.
• Familiarity with the company's Digital Solutions portfolio in Data Management, Digital Operations and Cyber-security; ability to grasp new tools quickly.
• Basic knowledge of Automation and Control systems and OT systems such as MES/Historians/Reporting Tools/Alarm Management Systems.
• Familiarization with OT-IT integration technologies (OPC, MQTT, REST APIs, Web Services).
• Experience with industrial analytics and historian software (OSIsoft, Aspen InfoPlus, FactoryTalk) is a plus.
• Knowledge of integrating disparate data sources on a common platform.
• Understanding of the Purdue Model integration layers from Field Level to Cloud/Enterprise Systems.
• Understanding of basic cybersecurity networking principles.
• Reasonable knowledge of databases (SQL/MySQL, etc.).

• Ability to work in multidisciplinary and multi-ethnic teams; strong presentation skills.
