Responsibilities
  1. Set up and control the extrusion process to fine-tune parameters and prevent jacket defects like cracking or burn marks.
  2. Apply knowledge of polymer materials (PE, HDPE) to select appropriate materials and troubleshoot issues such as bonding and brittleness.
  3. Validate cable structure and perform mechanical testing, including tensile strength, bend radius, and jacket adhesion.
  4. Implement and maintain quality control systems (ISO, Six Sigma).
  5. Have knowledge of inverter repairing.
  6. Establish standardized QA procedures to prevent batch-wise issues.
  7. Design tooling and dies to optimize die performance for uniform jacket thickness and proper melt flow.
  8. Operate and troubleshoot extrusion machinery, including calibration and maintenance.
  9. Ensure compliance with cable standards (e.g., ITU-T, IEC) to meet telecom and industry specifications.
Bonus Skills
  • Experience with co-extrusion lines (PE + HDPE).
  • Knowledge of UV stabilization and additive usage.
  • Familiarity with fiber optic cable standards (e.g., G.652D, G.657A1).
  • Proficiency with production monitoring systems and automated quality inspection tools.
