Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python and proficiency in multiple backend technologies such as PHP, Java, .NET, and Node.js. The ideal candidate is not limited to a single tech stack but is adaptive and confident in picking up any backend language as per project requirements. This role also requires hands-on experience with AI technologies, ideally integrating or deploying AI models within backend systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs using Python and other backend languages.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and data scientists to build robust, AI-enhanced web applications and services.
  • Architect and implement solutions in various backend languages and frameworks depending on project needs.
  • Integrate machine learning models and AI services into production-ready APIs and systems.
  • Write clean, testable, and maintainable code adhering to best practices and design patterns.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers.
  • Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and technical planning.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends, especially in AI and backend development.

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in backend development.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and at least one Python framework (e.g., Django, Flask, FastAPI).
  • Proficient in at least two of the following backend languages:
  • Node.js (Express, NestJS)
  • Experience working with AI/ML—either integrating pre-built models, using cloud-based AI services, or deploying custom models.
  • Deep understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and asynchronous programming.
  • Strong knowledge of databases (SQL & NoSQL), caching, and messaging systems.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Comfortable working in agile teams with CI/CD workflows and Git-based version control.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience deploying AI/ML models using TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks.
  • Knowledge of MLOps practices.
  • Exposure to GraphQL or gRPC.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Kubernetes).
  • Contributions to open source or tech community are a plus.
