Ipas is an international non-governmental organization (INGO) working to assist the Government of Pakistan in achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3 (good health and wellbeing). Founded in 1973, Ipas developed the manual vacuum aspirator technology for safe uterine evacuation, endorsed by WHO and various countries including Pakistan. In Pakistan, Ipas aims to support efforts to reduce maternal mortality and morbidity related to unsafe practices, collaborating with provincial governments to strengthen healthcare systems.

Ipas Pakistan seeks an experienced Project Manager with a successful track record in project management within reproductive health and family planning. The candidate should be passionate about Ipas' mission and capable of leading project execution, budget management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. The role involves leading the Post Medical Abortion Contraception (PMAC) research project.

Primary Responsibilities:

a) Project Delivery

  • Develop and monitor project implementation plans
  • Coordinate with internal teams for quality and timely execution
  • Manage partners and ensure deliverables are met
  • Oversee third-party consultants
  • Conduct field visits and supervise research activities
  • Manage data collection, storage, and confidentiality
  • Prepare reports and organize meetings
  • Oversee budget and ensure compliance with policies

b) Quality Assurance

  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and research protocols
  • Conduct field visits and document observations
  • Coordinate with evaluation teams

c) Reporting and Documentation

  • Maintain project records and prepare regular reports
  • Coordinate with finance for compliance

d) Travel: 25% travel required

e) Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in medicine, public health, pharmacy, social sciences, or related fields
  • Postgraduate qualification preferred
  • Training in Family Planning and Project Management desirable

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 8 years in project management or implementation
  • Experience with donor-funded projects and SRH/FP research
  • Proficiency in project management tools and data analysis
  • Strong communication, partnership, and representation skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Knowledge of Pakistani healthcare system and maternal health sector
