Qualifications and Competencies Required:

• Bachelor's in Chemical, Electrical, or Metallurgy Engineering.
• Practical Experience in - ICCP System Design, Installation, and Monitoring
• Well familiar with Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment Experience of Petroleum Pipelines as per NACE SP 208
• External Corrosion Direct Assessment Experience as per NACE SP 502 of Cross-country Pipelines
• Pre-qualification experience for Coating Systems and Chemical Additives
• FEED experience for Major Tanks / Pipeline Projects (Traceable)
• SAP (PM, MM & PS), Project Planning and Scheduling
• Preference will be given to candidates with NACE certification.

Experience:

• At least 8 years of experience in a Major Petroleum Pipeline Firm in the relevant field of Corrosion Engineering.
• Design reviews for new facilities to ensure compliance with engineering standards related to corrosion and materials selection.
• Develop corrosion control documents in alignment with established standards
• Review internal corrosion issues, evaluate chemical treatment alternatives, select appropriate products, and specify dosages for pipelines
• Internal Corrosion Direct Assessment of Pipelines as per NACE SP 208
• External Corrosion Direct Assessment of Pipelines as per NACE SP502
• Field Coating Testing (as per ISO)
• Project Planning and implementation
• Experience of Front End Engineering (FEED) doc. Review for Major Petroleum Installation projects.
• Procurement Experience (Procurement of CP Related Material, Development of Specs, Initiation of Purchase Enquiries, Preparation of Tender Documents, PQT (Production Qualification Test) Plan Development)
• Corrosion Coupon Analysis
• ICCP System Designing and Maintenance for Cross-country Pipelines
• AC Interference Monitoring (along cross-country Pipelines)
• DC Interference Survey along Pipelines

Responsibilities:

• The potential candidate should be able to develop corrosion control documents in alignment with established standards.
• The candidate should be able to compile a schedule to perform relevant surveys to identify the need to protect the pipeline from external corrosion.
• The prospective candidate should be able to approve work orders, liaise with the superior, and coordinate with a contractor for carrying out maintenance work.
• The ideal candidate should be able to Analyze the CP reports and recommend installing a new CP station at a specific site and forward it to the superior for review.
• He/she should ensure the Cathodic Protection system's drawings are updated, and survey information is maintained on a computerized database for preventive maintenance scheduling and maintenance
• The candidate should Prepare a maintenance schedule describing preventive maintenance programs for electrical and CP equipment installed at different locations.
• The aspirant should know ICDA and ECDA of Pipelines.
• The candidate should work in Close Coordination and consultation with internal/external stakeholders.
• The candidate would also be responsible for the performance evaluation of the Management staff and technical staff (reporting to him/her).
