Job Summary:
A Principal software engineer for Vue.JS at Creative Chaos is primarily responsible for developing front-end web client applications across various software platforms. The role ensures that the functionality, security, and performance of the client application meet design specifications and are bug-free. Senior engineers also mentor junior team members and contribute to team development through training.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements
  • Estimate assigned tasks
  • Write code and unit tests
  • Collaborate with team members
  • Optimize code for security and performance
  • Maintain systems by fixing issues
  • Update issue tracking software
  • Provide status updates
  • Communicate with clients
  • Control code versions
  • Research new technologies
  • Lead and mentor a team of software engineers
  • Upgrade skills and knowledge
  • Evaluate candidates for open positions

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience as a Vue.JS/Full stack developer
  • Proficiency with Vue.js framework and core principles
  • Experience with Vue.js ecosystem tools like Vue CLI, Vuex, Vue Router; knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Figma, Nuxt.js
  • Experience building animations; passion for security and internet ethics
  • Experience with backend tools like Node.js and databases such as MongoDB (a plus)
  • Experience with RESTful APIs
  • Strong experience with CI/CD, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with test automation and TDD
  • Knowledge of collaboration tools like GitHub, JIRA
  • Excellent English communication skills
  • Flexible and versatile personality
  • Strong presentation and influence skills
